Today We Recognize the Brave Purple Heart Recipients

On Purple Heart Day, we recognize the courage, resilience, and sacrifice of all Purple Heart recipients. Their bravery serves as a beacon of resilience and unity for us all. According to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, more than 1.8 million Purple Heart medals have been presented to service members since the award was created in 1782 to recognize their bravery.
