Last night, State Rep. Mike Coffey hosted a pizza party at Papa Frank’s in Springfield to celebrate the students who completed his 2025 Summer Reading Program. He had the opportunity to talk with the students about their favorite books, what they like most about reading, and of course what their favorite pizza is! This is the third year Rep. Coffey has hosted the Summer Reading Program in his district and said it’s a great program for kids to improve their reading skills. Students received an official certificate from the Illinois House of Representatives recognizing their commitment to reading.
“My Summer Reading Program is designed to challenge students to expand their imagination with the help of literature,” said Coffey. “Reading is a great tool for sharpening a variety of skills and I’m proud of the students who read eight books this summer!”
