University of Illinois Graduates Visit Rep. Coffey for Meet & Greet

Yesterday I had graduates from the University of Illinois stop by my office for a meet and greet! It was a great opportunity to learn about their ambitions and share with them legislative issues that I’m working on to improve for the State of Illinois. They all showed interest in learning about what it’s like being a State Representative and had very good questions for me. I appreciate their visit today and wish them the very best in their future endeavors.

Rep. Coffey Tours University of Illinois Springfield Brookens Library

I want to thank Pattie Piotrowski and her colleagues for the tour of Brookens Library, located at the University of Illinois Springfield. They all do a wonderful job providing exceptional services to students who need a collaborative work space and quiet study time in the library. It’s impressive how much the library has grown over the years!

Brookens was the first permanent building on campus which was dedicated to the University in 1976. Today, the University of Illinois Springfield library offers over 300,000 physical books, over 200,000 ebooks, and over 2,000 featured films.
