Springfield, IL…State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) has been appointed to the Statewide 9-1-1 Advisory Board. He will assist other board members with providing recommendations to the Governor and the General Assembly on ways to improve 9-1-1 services throughout the state of Illinois.

“In the Illinois House, Representative Coffey has proven his strong relationships with law enforcement and first responders! He will be a great advocate for first responders on the board and his willingness and leadership will work to improve public safety in our state.”
The Statewide 9-1-1 Advisory Board consists of twenty-two members. Each member carries a strong background in public safety and have shared priorities to enhance emergency services. The board is working on continued efforts to maintain and improve stable funding, training, and certifications.
