𝗥𝗜𝗙𝗟 𝗔𝗰𝘁 (𝗛𝗕 𝟯𝟯𝟮𝟬)==> Democrats are trying to pass an outrageous mandate on firearm manufacturers who do business in Illinois.
This is another overreaching piece of legislation that does nothing to improve public safety or hold criminals accountable for their actions.
This bill will drive up costs for law-abiding gun owners in Illinois and requires firearm industries to pay for gun-related injuries or face punishment- civil penalties up to $250,000.
Coffey wants to see the bill taken off the record.
“This bill is another example of Illinois Democrats dodging the opportunity to improve public safety in Illinois,” said Coffey. Telling gun manufacturers they are responsible for paying for people’s bad decisions is absurd. My question would be, are they going to require beer manufacturers to pay for individual hospital bills, prescription costs, and and therapy if an accident were to occur with alcohol involved? ”
