Coffey Supports Relief for Working Families

Rep. Coffey is a fierce advocate for reducing financial burdens on Illinois’ working families and creating opportunities for workers. He understands Illinois must open doors that lead to economic growth and prosperity so families and businesses can thrive. House Bill 1729 was filed by Rep. Coffey to create more jobs that would boost the economy. Taxpayers who make contributions to scholarships that help students excel in technical schools would be eligible for income tax credits. This bill would help fill the gaps between the state-mandated labor requirements and workforce availability.

“The purpose of this bill is to entice individuals to learn a skilled trade so they can have a good paying job in Illinois and help contribute to growing our economy,” said Rep. Coffey.
