Yesterday, I attended the Camp Compass Stakeholder Breakfast in Springfield! Compass for Kids is a fantastic organization that is committed to providing academic and social-emotional support to underserved children in Springfield Public Schools. I want to give a huge THANK YOU to Molly Berendt Grogan and her team for making an immense difference to children and their families in Springfield!

Since 2011, the Compass for Kid’s mission has been to listen, learn, and evolve to ensure that every child has the opportunity to succeed, thrive, and belong.
Their Mission and Vision:
Our mission is to provide academic and social-emotional support to empower children and families underserved by our community.
Our vision is that all children in our community experience success and reach their full potential.
Compass for Kids utilizes a evidence-based curricula and assessments to ensure our programs are having a measurable impact on participants. Our pre- and post- data show that the youth who participate in Compass programs are improving in math, reading, and social-emotional skills. Our assessment data is independently and professionally evaluated.
Get Involved! Compass for Kids has a variety of volunteer opportunities that are flexible to schedule. This is a great way to build relationships with kids as a classroom leader, helping in the kitchen, or as a life skills partner, to name a few. Learn more about volunteer work and get involved!
