Veterans Meeting 9/30/24
State Rep. Mike Coffey organized a Veterans Advisory Council for the 95th District to learn more about the needs and concerns from local veterans. This week, a few members from the council met at American Legion Post #32 to discuss veteran benefits, legislation, and what they want to see from the lawmakers.
The meeting provided great insight into what the state is doing well and not so well. Protecting veterans is a top priority for Rep. Coffey. He is working hard to improve the lives of Illinois veterans and their families.
“Our community owes a profound debt of gratitude to our veterans for their courage and sacrifices in defending the freedoms we cherish in the United States. It is my top priority to support our local veterans through legislation that not only improves their quality of life but also acknowledges their significant contributions to the 95th District, Illinois, and the United States of America.”
