As your State Representative, I have fought for commonsense solutions like lowering taxes and reducing the cost of living for working families.

I supported legislation to cut taxes, including on gas and groceries, voted to reduce energy costs, and fought for policies to grow our economy and attract job creators back to Illinois.

Illinoisans should receive better outcomes for their hard-earned money. By supporting legislation to improve our communities, I am fighting for Illinois families and our values. As we strive to build a safer and more affordable Illinois, I am committed to making government accountable for you.

State Representative Mike Coffey

A watchdog for taxpayers and consumers, Mike has sponsored legislation to cut gas and grocery taxes and helps lead the fight against a Retirement Tax in Illinois. He opposed income tax hikes and provided healthcare and prescription price relief to families struggling to afford insulin and epi-pens.

Mike supports an all-of-the-above energy policy with a strong focus on high-energy sources like coal, nuclear, and natural gas, as well as supporting renewable energy and ethanol. Extreme policies are driving out high-capacity power plants, hiking energy costs, and risking reliability.

Businesses are fleeing Illinois due to high taxes, unnecessary regulations, and corruption. As a small businessman, Mike supports policies to make Illinois a better place to start a business and grow jobs.
