*SESSION UPDATE*
We’ve made it to end of session deadline and have yet to see the multi-billion dollar state budget. This week has been very busy in the House with debates and committees going late into the evening. Now, we are expecting a full weekend of work ahead to get the budget passed.
It’s unfortunate Republicans continue to be cut out of budget negotiations. It’s very likely we will not see the budget until a couple of hours before it’s voted on for passage. We will see how session works out this weekend and I will be sure to provide more information as I receive it.

Rep. Coffey Discusses Important Legislation He Filed
Since I have been a State Representative, I have seen many pieces of legislation pass through the General Assembly. I’ve seen both good and bad legislation become law in Illinois. I know many bills that have been signed into law have a direct impact on taxpayers and communities.
