Rep. Coffey’s Bill Passes House Unanimously (HB4733)

I’m very proud to see House Bill 4733 pass the House unanimously, 112-0. I filed this bill to amend the University of Illinois Act. It allows that honorary scholarships may be given to the children of Veterans who served at any time during the invasion of Panama between December 20, 1989 and January 31, 1990.

Our Veterans deserve our respect, and this bill extends our respect to even more children of Veterans and I’m happy we had bipartisan support to get this bill passed in the House of Representatives.

“I believe the sacrifices made by our military and their families can never be fully repaid; however, adding Panama conflict/Operation Just Cause is one small way we can repay them for their sacrifices.”
