Honor The Veterans who Served Our Country
The Land of Lincoln Honor Flights are designed to honor those who served our country. Through community support and funding, this special flight gives veterans recognition and a day they will never forget. This not-for-profit hub has been the gateway for our community to coordinate and arrange a very special day to our veterans.
The mission is to provide round trip transportation from the Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport, in Springfield, Illinois to Washington, DC. to offer veterans the opportunity to visit their memorials. During this one day trip, veterans will be provided ground transportation, meals, snacks, shirts, hats, and other items completely free of charge in honor of his or her service to our country.
The next Honor Flight (Flight #67) is scheduled to depart Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport on June 20, 2023. The public is welcomed to attend the evening “Welcome Home” arrival as the veterans exit the plane and walk down the hall. American flags and signs are encouraged to show support.
