Coffey Hosting ICASH Event in Rochester
ROCHESTER, IL…State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) is partnering with the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office to host an ICASH event on Saturday, October 3, at Rochester Village Hall. Coffey is encouraging residents of the 95th District to stop by to see if they are owed unclaimed money or property and receive assistance filing a claim.

“This event is designed to provide Illinois residents with a simple way to file a claim with the Illinois State Treasurer’s Office if they are owed money,” said Coffey. “The goal is to get money back into the pockets of Illinois residents, and I’m eager to help people in our community reclaim what belongs to them.”
ICASH events help Illinois residents locate and reclaim unclaimed property. Since 2015, more than $2 billion in assets have been returned to Illinoisans. Unclaimed property can include forgotten bank accounts, uncashed checks, insurance payments, stocks and even the contents of safe-deposit boxes.
The Illinois State Treasurer’s Office currently holds more than $5 billion in unclaimed property belonging to Illinois residents. The state holds these funds and assets until they are claimed by the original owner or their heirs. Property can be returned at no cost with proper identification.
