Coffey: $10,000 Grant Will Support Midland Firefighters

KINCAID, IL…The Midland Fire Protection District (MFPD) in Kincaid has received a $10,000 grant to purchase critical firefighting equipment. The funding was awarded through the State Farm Good Neighbor Firefighter Safety Program in partnership with the National Volunteer Fire Council. State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) said he is pleased to see MFPD receive the grant and emphasized the importance of supporting volunteer fire departments that provide essential emergency services to communities across Central Illinois.

“Volunteer fire departments are the foundation of Central Illinois communities,” said Coffey. “It’s important to support our local volunteer firefighters and ensure they have the equipment and resources they need to keep our communities safe. We rely on the men and women who put their lives on the line to protect our communities, and this grant will certainly benefit the Midland Fire Protection District.”

MFPD is one of 150 volunteer fire departments across the nation to receive this grant.
