Rep. Coffey’s Shred Event Makes Big Impact
SPRINGFIELD, IL…State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) hosted a free shred event on Saturday, September 12, in Springfield drawing hundreds of constituents who brought personal documents to be safely shredded. The shred truck reached capacity, with a total of 61 containers filled. Rep. Coffey says the turnout was fantastic and the food donations have been delivered to St. John’s Breadline in Springfield.
“I want to thank everyone who attended my shred event and donated food to help families in need,” said Coffey. “Working together makes our community stronger, and I was thrilled to see so many of my constituents take action to protect themselves from identity theft while also providing groceries to help people who rely on St. John’s Breadline for a hot meal.”
This event marks another successful effort by Coffey to engage with residents in our community. Last year, Coffey partnered with Chatham Mayor Dave Kimsey to host a shred event at a local park and looks forward to hosting his third shred event next year.
