SPRINGFIELD, IL…State Representative Mike Coffey (R-Springfield) and Ward 7 Alderman Brad Carlson joined Americans for Prosperity- Illinois to host a ‘Back-To-School Backpack and Supply Giveaway’ in Springfield. The event provided students with backpacks and essential school supplies to help ease the financial burden facing families as they prepare for the new school year.
State Representative Mike Coffey says it’s crucial that students have the supplies they need to succeed:
“I support this cause because the cost of school supplies can add up quickly, and this is one way we can help local families save money,” said Coffey. “Going back to school is exciting, but we must ensure all students have the essential classroom supplies they need to have a successful year of learning. I also want to thank Americans for Prosperity-Illinois for supporting this important cause.”
